Citizen TV politicacal affairs reporter Stephen Letoo and his fiancée Irene Renoi Kiptikoi exchanged vows in a highly anticipated ceremony on Saturday.
The enchanting event commenced at the Methodist church in Narok, later transitioning to a joyous gathering at the Ole Ntimama Stadium, where the bridal and groom’s entourages united with the public in a celebration marked by pomp and color.
Before this grand affair, a traditional wedding with cultural significance took place in Kilgoris, highlighted by the ritual of dowry payment.
Dispelling rumors of polygamous intentions, Letoo joyfully committed to Irene Renoi Kiptikoi in holy matrimony, setting aside earlier plans of conducting a mass wedding.
The festivities were graced by a host of top media personalities and Letoo’s colleagues, including Citizen TV’s Editorial Director Linus Kaikai, news anchor Swaleh Mdoe, Kennedy Mureithi (best man), Chemutai Goin, Ben Kirui, Melita Ole Tenges, Brian Muchiri, Makori Ongechi, and more.
The celebrations are expected to continue with a feast set at the Ole Ntimama Stadium, where love and merry-making will persist. A lineup of entertainers is also slated to thrill those in attendance.
Speaking recently to Obinna TV, the TV star shared his perspective on honeymoon plans, expressing their unconventional approach of each choosing a different location for their honeymoon.
Letoo proposed the idea of each of them selecting a destination separately. He emphasized that the purpose of a honeymoon is to relax after the exhaustive process of wedding planning, rather than feeling pressured to conceive abroad.
“I told the guest of honor for that day to choose where she wants to go. I will go on my honeymoon alone, and she will go on hers. The honeymoon should be about wiping off the sweat you’ve gone through with very thorough plans. Not going to struggle to conceive a child abroad,” Letoo explained.
“I will choose mine; If I choose to go to Maasai Mara, I will go, and she will choose hers, even if it’s Dubai, she will go with her friends.”
