Content creator and influencer Azziad Nasenya recently shared a shocking health scare after a severe flu caused her lips to swell unexpectedly.
Taking to her Instagram stories on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Azziad posted photos and videos of her swollen lips, joking that she looked like a temporary lip filler enthusiast. She explained that the flu initially seemed mild but worsened overnight, leading to significant swelling of her upper lip.
Concerned, Azziad sought help at a pharmacy, where she was given medicine and assured that the swelling would subside within an hour. However, the situation did not improve, forcing her to visit a hospital for further treatment.
Reacting to the overwhelming response from her followers, Azziad playfully warned them that they, too, could experience unexpected health scares.
“I had a really bad flu. Caught the bug that has been going around. This is how it started, very small. By the time I was going to bed, this was the condition. I went to the pharmacy, got medicine, and they said it would go down in an hour, but it didn’t. I had to go to the hospital. Nyinyi chekeni kwa DMs zangu. Chuma chenu ki motoni. I never imagined this could happen to me,” she shared.
