Ms Ryta, the alleged former girlfriend of Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, has made a bold declaration about their relationship, stating that nothing but death will separate them.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, she wrote, “Mimi na Babe wangu tutaachana tukifa.” (My boyfriend and I will only be separated by death).
Her statement came shortly after she shared a video from Wasafi FM, Diamond’s media business, and revealed that she had been dressed by his sister, who owns a clothing store.
Ms Ryta gained attention weeks ago after accusing Diamond of failing to treat her like a girlfriend. She backed her claims by sharing throwback videos of herself with the singer at his house, including intimate moments where they were seen kissing.
However, Diamond Platnumz dismissed the allegations, clarifying that the videos were from 2023 when he and Ms Ryta had already broken up. He explained that he had informed his girlfriend, Zuchu, about the past and sought her forgiveness.
“I have seen clips that involve me going viral. Those are old clips from 2023, two years ago. And I left that woman two years ago as well. I told my girlfriend about it and we forgave each other and started afresh. This woman has decided to share the videos and fake messages to blackmail me and make money. This issue is being handled by the authorities.”
Diamond further stated that he had reported the matter to the authorities, accusing Ms Ryta of defamation and blackmail.
