Jessica Simpson is fully committed to keeping her vocals in top shape and is willing to go to extreme lengths to maintain her signature sound.
On Friday, the “With You” singer shared the unusual secret behind her powerful voice, which has contributed to her long-running success.
“They’re like, ‘What are you drinking?’ It’s like this Chinese herb thing,” she said in a video posted to Instagram. “I’m like, ‘I don’t know. My vocal coach told me to drink it.’ They googled the ingredients and … snake sperm. It’s like a honey. If you want a good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm,” she added with a laugh.
Simpson has been focused on her music career, recently releasing “Nashville Canyon, Part 1,” a five-track collection blending soul and rockabilly influences. The project debuted on March 21.
