Police in Mihango, Kayole, Nairobi, are investigating an incident where a woman sustained fractures after jumping from the fourth floor of an apartment building on Sunday night.

According to police reports, the woman claimed she was forced to take the drastic action after a man allegedly attempted to rape her inside his house. The suspect has since been arrested.

The victim told officers that a confrontation broke out while she was with the suspect in his residence. She alleged that he attempted to sexually assault her, prompting her to flee to the balcony before leaping to the ground floor.

Security guards at the building quickly responded, assisting the injured woman and rushing her to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, other guards detained the suspect and alerted the police.

Authorities who visited the scene and later checked on the victim in the hospital confirmed that she had suffered fractures on her legs.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
