Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has called for the resignation of Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua to allow for independent investigations into alleged irregularities in the foreign job placement initiative, Kazi Majuu.

Speaking in the Senate on Wednesday, Khalwale said the mounting complaints from young Kenyans who claim they were defrauded through the program require a thorough and impartial probe—something he believes cannot happen while the CS remains in office.

“On behalf of the youth who were conned with fake jobs abroad, I demand that Labour CS Mutua step down to pave the way for credible investigations,” Khalwale stated.

His comments come amid growing public outcry from job seekers who say they were misled into paying between KSh 20,000 and KSh 40,000 for medical exams and other fees, only to receive no job placements or refunds.

Many also claim to have submitted their passports after interviews facilitated under the Kazi Majuu banner.
