Police in Marani Subcounty, Kisii County, have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a man who was found seated lifeless on a chair in another person’s home on Sunday evening.

According to a police report filed at Kegogi Police Station, the local chief alerted law enforcement after the discovery was made.

Police officers, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Marani, responded promptly and arrived at the scene, where they found the body of John Mogire in a sitting position in the living room.

“The body had no physical injuries,” the report noted.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Mogire had sought shelter from the rain at the house at around 6:00 pm on the same evening.

Further information provided by his wife indicated that the deceased had a medical history of high blood pressure, which could potentially be linked to the sudden death.

The scene was processed and documented, and the body was later moved to Marani Level 3 Hospital Morgue, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
