Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has introduced his four-month-old baby boy to the public in a light-hearted and heartfelt video that has quickly captured attention online.
In the video, Salasya affectionately shows off the infant, joking that the child bears such a striking resemblance to him that a DNA test is completely unnecessary.
“Huyu hata DNA sitaki,” he said, pointing out the baby’s facial features — especially the nose — as being distinctly Luhya.
The youthful legislator went on to reveal that he met the child’s mother during the recent Gen Z protests, which have swept across parts of Kenya in recent months.
“Mapua ya huyu mtoto ni ya Waluhya… Inafaa sasa mama ya mtoto amlete home wamunyoe nywele as per the culture… Ni mweupe kama mimi huyu… Nimekubali, he’s turning four months,” read part of his caption.
