Socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika has sparked conversations about gender dynamics in Kenya by revealing that some Kenyan men struggle with jealousy toward women, particularly those who achieve success.

Taking to her Instagram account on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Vera explained that this jealousy is not confined to interactions with strangers or colleagues but extends to men’s romantic partners—whether their girlfriends or wives. She acknowledged that while jealousy is a common issue in many relationships, it can sometimes undermine the support that successful women need in order to thrive.

“Noticed something? Some Kenyan men are jealous of women. Especially successful women. Some men are even jealous of their own girlfriends, wives. Yes, it happens. There’s jealousy in relationships, btw (by the way),” Vera stated.

The influential mother of two is known for openly showcasing her lavish lifestyle on social media .
