The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has confirmed that it has received four formal requests aimed at recalling sitting Members of Parliament.
While addressing the media in Mombasa, IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon noted that the commission is currently reviewing the submissions and will make decisions based on the seriousness of the issues raised.
“The commission has moved to the Supreme Court seeking legal direction on the way forward over the delay in the boundary review, which was caused by the absence of commissioners,” said Ethekon.
He emphasized that the recall process is guided by strict legal procedures, and the commission will act in accordance with the law once assessments are complete.
