Nairobi, Kenya — Popular Kenyan media personality Sheila Kwamboka, widely known as Kwambox, has publicly addressed her sexuality, stating that she identifies as sexually fluid — a truth she says has long been part of her identity.
In an open and unfiltered conversation on the Iko Nini Podcast, Kwambox clarified misconceptions about her sexual orientation, especially for newer fans who may not be familiar with her earlier years in the limelight.
“The OGs know this already,” she said. “I was very clear – I’m fluid. It’s never been a secret
Kwambox, who rose to continental fame as a contestant on Big Brother Africa in 2008, noted that while her identity has always been public, it is often misunderstood or used against her.
“People now try to use it against me, but that’s none of my business,” she remarked. “I live for me. What I like is what I like.”
She shared that her last four relationships have been with men, but emphasized that her preferences are not fixed, calling her current state “a nice balance.”
Kwambox acknowledged that many of her Gen Z followers might be unaware of her long-standing openness about her sexual identity.
“People just don’t know the full story,” she said. “But I’ve always lived authentically.”
