Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, has shared details about her troubled love life, revealing that she called off two traditional introduction ceremonies and even a planned wedding after uncovering unsettling truths through private investigations.
In a video posted on her TikTok account, Saumu recounted how she was once deeply in love and prepared to settle down, but her dreams were shattered after hiring a private investigator to look into her partners.
“Life is so private that no one knows I cancelled two introductions and Nikaah after I hired a private investigator on these men. It can never be me,’’ she captioned the video.
Saumu, who has faced multiple public heartbreaks, added that the repeated emotional blows eventually pushed her to give up on love altogether.
One of her most high-profile relationships was with former Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip. Their romance ended on a sour note, with Saumu publicly accusing him of physical and emotional abuse — a chapter that further highlighted the challenges she has faced in her pursuit of love.
