Just weeks after publicly announcing his exit from the political stage, Morara Kebaso, the INJECT party leader, now says he has had a change of heart — declaring that he cannot abandon the fight for a better Kenya.

Kebaso, known for his viral “Vampire Diaries” online exposés targeting stalled government projects, stunned his followers earlier this month when he said he was stepping away from activism and politics to regain his freedom.

But in a fresh statement, the outspoken civic leader has now reversed that position.

“I have decided that this is not the kind of country I want my children to grow up in,” said Kebaso.
“And I am not ready to move elsewhere because I like the food, the weather, the trees and the people. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, fighting for it is not a choice I should make, it is a duty I cannot avoid.”

In a previous announcement , Kebaso had cited burnout, police harassment, and growing disillusionment as reasons for quitting. He said he was ready to live life quietly and away from the limelight.

Morara Kebaso rose to national prominence through his viral “Vampire Diaries” segments — short-form exposés highlighting corruption, ghost projects, and wastage in government.
