Police in Kisumu Central Sub-county have launched a manhunt for a woman who allegedly fatally stabbed her husband on Thursday night in the Aliwa area of Migosi Estate, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to local authorities, the suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident, which occurred amid what neighbours described as a history of domestic disputes between the couple.

Police officers who responded to distress calls discovered the man’s body with multiple stab wounds. It was later transported to a local mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Witnesses and neighbours told investigators that the couple, who had been cohabiting as husband and wife, had a rocky relationship marred by frequent arguments and heated exchanges.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and detectives are currently piecing together the events leading up to the fatal stabbing.

Kisumu Central Sub-county Police Commander confirmed that the search for the suspect is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.

“We are appealing to members of the public to share any credible leads. The suspect is still at large, and our officers are doing everything possible to apprehend her,” the commander said.
