Nairobi, August 5, 2025 – Celebrated Kenyan actor Daddie Marto has officially addressed his breakup with wife Koku Lwanga, shedding light on the timeline of events and denying allegations of abuse.
Relationship Ended in Early 2025
In a detailed statement released on Tuesday, Marto revealed that he and Koku separated in December 2024 and made their split official in March 2025.
“I kept quiet out of respect for my children,” he said, “but the continuous false accusations have left me with no choice but to respond.”
The actor emphasized that throughout their separation, he maintained his responsibilities, including paying rent, school fees, medical bills, and other expenses for their children.
Marto Denies Abuse Allegations
He also addressed a night of confrontation, saying he was physically attacked and acted in self defense.
He disclosed that he has filed a court case to prevent the spread of what he describes as false and damaging information.
“The picture being painted of me is not who I am,” Marto stated. “Let the court of law decide.”
Co-parenting is the Goal
Despite the public fallout, Marto said his main priority remains his children. He expressed hope for a peaceful and respectful co-parenting arrangement going forward.
Legal Action Ongoing
The actor has initiated legal proceedings to defend his name and protect his children from negative publicity. This comes amid a surge of online backlash that he says has become unbearable.
For readers unfamiliar with Marto’s work, he is a respected figure in the Kenyan entertainment industry and has featured in numerous local dramas and films.
