Nairobi, Kenya – Kenyan actor and media personality Daddie Marto has issued a heartfelt public apology following a heated online outburst involving his estranged wife, Koku Lwanga, and spiritual advisor Mark Christian Kimani, known on Instagram as he_lifts_sings_n_meditates.
The drama unfolded over a series of emotional Instagram Stories where Marto claimed that Kimani “preyed” on Koku during a difficult season in their marriage, ultimately contributing to their breakup.
“I was angry, frustrated and I broke. I am human. We have our limits. I am sorry for the ugliness,” Marto admitted in one of his posts.

From Anger to Reflection
In the now-deleted posts, Marto accused the spiritual advisor of breaking his family apart:
“You broke my family… I have time and energy to destroy the very demon that permeated my home.”
Despite his strong words, Marto later shifted to a tone of accountability, saying he had failed to spiritually protect his family.
“I failed my family. I did not cover them with enough prayers… That is on me.”

Focus on Co-Parenting
Marto, who shares children with Koku, acknowledged that their romantic relationship may be over but insisted they will remain united as parents:
“It might be too late for me and the mother of my children as a couple, but it is not too late for us as parents.”
He asked fans for prayers and declared that he is now in a “spiritual battlefield” but will refrain from further public statements until “the enemy has been defeated.”
The Bigger Picture: Public Breakups in the Spotlight
Public celebrity breakups are becoming increasingly common in Kenya, often unfolding on social media for all to witness. While the transparency gives fans a glimpse into the human side of public figures, it also raises questions about mental health, privacy, and the influence of spiritual leaders in relationships.
