Nairobi, Kenya – Popular Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu, known by his stage name Samidoh, has testified at the Milimani Law Courts during the ongoing inquest into the mysterious death of his nephew, Jeff Mwathi.

Speaking before Magistrate Rose Ndumbi, Samidoh said he does not believe Mwathi’s death at an apartment in Roysambu, Kasarani, was natural, urging the court to establish the actual cause.

“I do not believe Jeff’s death was natural. He was a healthy young man and had no suicidal tendencies,” Samidoh told the court.

No Bad Blood with DJ Fatxo

The Mugithi star also addressed speculation about tensions with fellow musician DJ Fatxo, the prime suspect in the case. Samidoh denied any rivalry, noting that both hail from Nyandarua County and perform in the same genre.

“I have no bad blood with DJ Fatxo. We come from the same county, and there is no competition between us,” Samidoh said.

Jeff Mwathi and DJ Fatxo’s Relationship

Samidoh further revealed that Mwathi and DJ Fatxo had a business relationship and that he had personally seen them together a few months before Mwathi’s death.

The inquest continues, with the court expected to hear from more witnesses in the coming weeks.
