Police in Kinoo detained a 23-year-old man after he was found dressed in a girl’s school uniform in what turned out to be an elaborate disguise.

Man Poses as Schoolgirl

The suspect, who introduced himself as Millicent Kemunto from Kisii, claimed he was searching for his mother, a vegetable vendor in Kinoo. Speaking in a convincing feminine voice, he provided a phone number that was later found to be switched off.

Identity Exposed

After several hours of interrogation, police uncovered his true identity: Kelvin Mong’are. Investigations revealed that his disguise was an unusual attempt to secure employment as a househelp in the area.

Public Reactions

The incident has since gone viral online, sparking widespread debate. Many Kenyans urged families to exercise caution and verify identities thoroughly before hiring domestic workers, noting the risks posed by such impersonation attempts.

Police are continuing with investigations.
