Content creator Mitchelle, popularly known as Mjaka Mfine, has broken her silence after leaked private chats linked her to Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o.
The conversations, which surfaced online earlier this week, fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship, with some claiming the legislator was financially supporting her.
How the Drama Began
Mitchelle revealed that the entire saga stemmed from a missing iPhone she lost during a university event. A few days later, she spotted a man identified as Cedo advertising a phone online that looked identical to hers, being sold at a suspiciously low price.
She confronted him but could not prove ownership. When police said they could not trace the phone, Mitchelle turned to influential figures for help—among them Jalang’o.
Jalang’o’s Role in the Phone Recovery
According to Mitchelle, she shared Cedo’s number with the MP, who later joined a call involving herself, Cedo’s mother, and the seller to try and resolve the dispute.
She clarified that the leaked chats were part of that effort, not evidence of any romantic or financial ties.
“My relationship with Jalang’o was purely about recovering the missing phone and nothing else,” Mitchelle stated.
Dismissing Lifestyle Rumors
The young content creator also pushed back against rumors that the MP bankrolls her lifestyle.
“I still depend on my parents for financial support. I only reached out to Jalang’o out of desperation after losing my phone,” she said, adding that she has call recordings and text messages to back her account.
She further denied allegations that they threatened Cedo during the exchange.
