Police in Nairobi are investigating a suspected murder after a man was found stabbed to death by his friends in Kariobangi on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased, identified as Samuel Mbogo, was discovered lying in a pool of blood by the roadside shortly after being seen arguing with three friends over what authorities believe was a deal gone wrong.

Confirming the incident, Nairobi Police Commander George Seda said officers who responded to the scene found Mbogo with multiple stab wounds to the chest, head, back, and stomach.

“The three suspects fled immediately after the attack. We have launched a manhunt for them,” Seda said.

A search of the victim’s pockets revealed KSh4,500 and three ATM cards, suggesting the attack may not have been motivated by robbery.

According to witnesses, an argument broke out among the four men before Mbogo was violently assaulted and left for dead.

Police have since moved the body to the City Mortuary pending an autopsy as detectives pursue leads to identify and apprehend the attackers.
