Detectives in Uasin Gishu have launched investigations into the brutal murder of a 43-year-old man whose body was discovered inside his house in Kapsoya Estate on Wednesday morning.
Police identified the deceased as Moris Mwiti Muthee, who was found dead by a neighbour who had gone to wake him up for work on November 5, 2025.
According to a police report, Muthee’s body was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on the head and his left ear chopped off, indicating that he had been attacked inside his home.
Investigators said the attackers did not steal anything from the house, suggesting that the killing may have been motivated by personal reasons rather than robbery.
Police officers from Eldoret Central Station processed the scene before moving the body to the mortuary for autopsy and forensic examination.
“The motive behind the murder has not yet been established, but investigations are ongoing,” police said.
Authorities have appealed to residents with any information that could assist in the probe to report to the nearest police station.
