Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has claimed that members of her family were arrested on the orders of her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, following her decision to move out of their matrimonial home.
In a series of online posts, the 25-year-old actress alleged that Nwoko directed police to detain her siblings, vowing they would remain in custody until she returned to him.
Marriage in Turmoil
The couple, whose relationship has long sparked debate due to their nearly 40-year age gap, is reportedly facing deep marital conflict.
Nwoko has publicly accused Regina of substance abuse, claiming he was once forced to have her admitted to a rehabilitation center.
Regina, however, denied the allegations, describing them as an attempt by her husband to “control and silence” her using his wealth and political influence.
Actress Moves Into Her Own Home
Last week, Regina confirmed she had moved out of their shared residence into a newly purchased home, signaling a possible end to her high-profile marriage.
She shared glimpses of the new property online, thanking her fans for their support and hinting that she was prioritizing peace and independence for herself and her two sons.
Police Yet to Comment
As of Wednesday evening, the Nigerian Police Force had not issued an official statement regarding the alleged arrests.
Observers say the unfolding saga highlights growing tensions between the power couple, whose union has been one of the most talked-about relationships in Nigerian entertainment.
