Nairobi, Kenya — November 23, 2025 — Sky Victor, the daughter of late gospel singer Betty Bayo, has delivered a heartfelt message urging the public to stop making assumptions about her family following her mother’s burial.

In a moving YouTube video posted on Sunday, Sky asked fans to show empathy as the family continues to mourn. She stressed that she loves both of her fathers and does not want anyone pitting them against each other.

“I Love Both of My Fathers” — Sky Says She Is Not Choosing Sides

Sky noted that public comments have been causing unnecessary pain. She pleaded with Kenyans to avoid creating narratives that could worsen the family’s situation.

“Thank you for the love, but be careful what you are commenting. I still love both of my fathers. I am not picking sides. I love them both,” she said.

Sky also emphasised that life will continue even after her mother’s passing and that her love for her fathers will not change.

Sky Warns Against Online Bullying and Assumptions

Sky urged the public to stop spreading incomplete or misleading information. She reminded fans that private family matters are not always visible online.

“Don’t bully my baba, don’t bully my dad. You don’t know what is happening behind the scenes,” she warned.
“Some of you might hear small information and assume anything. Don’t assume. There are many things happening behind the cameras.”

Her message echoes earlier concerns raised by the family regarding inflammatory comments on social media.

Family United in Grief at KNH

During Betty Bayo’s final days at the Kenyatta National Hospital, both Hiram Gitau, her husband, and Pastor Victor Kanyari, her ex-husband, were seen grieving together.
Footage shared by Kururia TV showed the two men comforting each other during the emotional moment — a reminder that the family is navigating the tragedy as one.

Sky Promises to Make Her Mother Proud

Reflecting on the burial, Sky said watching her mother’s casket lowered was one of the most painful experiences of her life. However, she promised to honour her mother’s legacy.

“It was sad seeing the casket go down, but my last word is I will make my mother proud, no matter what,” she said.

Sky’s message highlighted her strength as well as the deep love she continues to carry for her mother.
