Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta was among a small circle of close family and friends who attended the private wedding of his nephew, Jomo Gecaga, and his partner, Lola Hannigan.
The low-key ceremony was deliberately kept intimate, with only selected guests invited to witness the couple exchange vows. Details of the event remained largely under wraps until Friday evening, December 26, 2027, when short videos from the wedding began circulating online.
The clips were shared by Lola Hannigan’s close friend, businesswoman Anerlisa Mungai, who was present at the ceremony. In one of her posts, Anerlisa praised the bride, writing: “Look at you, honey @lolahannigan, beautiful bride, #Amazing heart. #weddingday.”
Apart from former President Kenyatta, the gathering was also attended by other notable family members, including former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
The wedding comes just weeks after the couple welcomed their third child, marking a joyful period for the family as they celebrate both new life and a new chapter in their union
