WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a high-profile appearance at theAndrew W. Mellon Auditorium, rap icon Nicki Minaj formally aligned herself with the Trump administration on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026.
Speaking at the “Trump Accounts Summit,” Minaj joined President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to promote a new federal investment initiative for children.
During the summit, Minaj addressed criticism, declaring her unwavering support for President Trump.
“I am probably the president’s number one fan.”

“The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”

The event launched the “Trump Accounts” program, providing a $1,000 government seed contribution into investment accounts for eligible children born between 2025 and 2028.
Minaj pledged between $150,000 and $300,000 for her fanbase’s accounts and highlighted the importance of financial literacy.
President Trump praised Minaj’s success. This appearance is part of Minaj’s increasing political involvement, which has drawn backlash from some fans. Minaj vowed to protect the president and asserted her belief in divine protection
