Grief and shock have gripped residents of Maraba in Kakamega County after a tragic incident involving two students from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology left both dead.
According to reports, a third-year student at the university allegedly stabbed a fellow student to death before taking his own life by hanging himself with a rope inside their residence.

The incident came to light after the father of one of the deceased students visited his son at the rental house. Upon arrival, he reportedly noticed suspicious bloodstains around the residence, which prompted him to raise the alarm among neighbours.
Concerned residents later broke into the house, which had been locked from the inside. It was then that they made the grim discovery of the two bodies.
