A Nairobi mother, Linet Odhiambo, is living through what many parents describe as their worst nightmare after her two children mysteriously vanished from Komarock on May 13, 2026.

Family Still Searching for Answers

Speaking emotionally during an interview with a local television station, the distraught mother said the disappearance has left the family devastated and confused.

According to Linet, one of the children — her daughter — knew important family information, including her mother’s phone number, making the silence since their disappearance even more troubling.

The family says they have not received any phone calls, ransom demands, or communication regarding the children’s whereabouts.

Growing Concern Over Child Safety

The incident has sparked widespread concern among parents and residents across Nairobi, with many expressing fears about the safety of children in residential estates.

Some Kenyans online have urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and avoid leaving young children unsupervised, especially in busy urban neighbourhoods.

Mother Clings to Hope

As the search continues, Linet says she is still hoping and praying that her children will eventually return home safely.

The case adds to growing concern over recent reports of missing children in different parts of the country, prompting calls for intensified investigations and improved child protection measures.

Authorities have not yet released detailed findings regarding the disappearance.
