Homeowners at Karibu Homes in Athi River are facing eviction from their houses amid concerns over structural defects that have resulted in visible cracks appearing on several apartment blocks.
The development comprises 500 residential units spread across 63 apartment blocks in phases one and two. It has now become the centre of a dispute between homeowners and the developer, with residents demanding answers over the condition and safety of the buildings.
Residents in blocks M, N and P, commonly known as the London blocks, say prominent vertical cracks have emerged along the expansion joints, extending from the rooftops down to the ground floors.
The cracks are reportedly visible both inside and outside the buildings, raising concern among homeowners who have lived at the development for more than eight years.
The residents are now seeking accountability and clarity over the structural condition of their homes, as the dispute over the affected buildings continues.
