People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) leader Ndindi Nyoro has called on the government to create a secure and business-friendly environment for investors, saying companies should be allowed to operate without intimidation, threats or undue demands from government officials.
Speaking during a public rally in Subukia Town, Nakuru County, Nyoro said both local and foreign investors need protection to establish and run businesses within the law.
The Kiharu MP argued that uncertainty and interference could discourage investment and undermine efforts to create jobs and grow the economy.
Nyoro also demanded full disclosure of the shareholders behind the proposed Dangote East African refinery in Lamu, calling for greater transparency over the ownership of the planned investment.
He said the government has a responsibility to ensure investors can operate legally while also protecting the interests of Kenyans.
His remarks come as Nyoro continues political engagements across Nakuru County while building the profile of PPK ahead of the 2027 General Election.
