Content creator Georgina Njenga has been admitted to Chiromo Hospital Group in Nairobi following growing concern over her recent wellbeing, with comedian Eric Omondi stepping in to support her.
Omondi confirmed that he had located Georgina and visited her before helping her access professional care. He also appealed to Kenyans of goodwill to support her and her family during the difficult period.
In a video shared on social media, Omondi said Georgina needed professional mental health support and indicated that she would be taken to Chiromo Hospital.
“Hey guys, huyu hatutampoteza. Her daughter needs her, and she is not okay at all. We will take her to Chiromo because they have the best mental health services,” Omondi said.
Reports indicate that Georgina may require an extended period of care, although the exact duration of her admission and treatment plan has not been independently confirmed.
Concern after GTC Westlands incident
The latest development follows an incident on October 1, when Georgina was spotted outside GTC Westlands, prompting bystanders to intervene and assist her. Reports circulating online described her as appearing distressed, although the precise circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
The incident came days after a series of social media posts by Georgina raised concern among some of her followers.
On September 29, she shared a post that referenced death and her desire to be with God, prompting further reactions online. However, social media posts alone do not establish a person’s medical or mental-health condition.
Eric appeals for help
Omondi had initially appealed to the public to help him locate Georgina, saying he was concerned about the mother of one and wanted to ensure she received support. He later met Georgina and her mother before facilitating her access to professional care.
He has also asked well-wishers willing to assist with Georgina’s treatment and care to reach out to her family.
The intervention has shifted the focus from speculation surrounding Georgina’s recent behaviour to ensuring she receives professional support, while the exact circumstances behind her recent difficulties remain private.
