Police in Murang’a county are hunting for a man who is suspected of impregnating his two daughters at the Muruka area, Kandara sub-county.
The police visited the girl’s home in Gichengo village after locals protested following news that the man had been having sexual intercourse with two of her daughters with full knowledge of their mother.
According to reports from villagers the man’s wife has already been apprehended after one of his four daughters confessed she had been impregnated by her father with her full knowledge.
One of the girls who is under protective care by the government at the moment is just aged 14.
The man is said to have molested the pregnant girl again in the today morning and threatened to kill her if she told anyone else about the ordeal.
She however screamed attracting the attention of locals who stormed the homestead looking for the man who managed to escape their dragnet.
Area sub-county Police Commander Michael Mwaura confirmed that they are following up on the matter and have already recorded a statement from the girl.
“We understand that the father works in Ruiru and we have sent a team of officers to find him,” the police boss said.
