Police in Nairobi are investigating the circumstances surrounding a burglary incident at the Nairobi home of Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

It remains unclear how the burglars accessed the well-guarded home at Karen, Nairobi and managed to steal a Samsung television set and a gas cylinder yesterday afternoon.

A review of CCTV footage by police shows that two men managed to jump the perimeter fence at 4:30 pm yesterday. One of the covered one of the CCTV cameras with a plastic object in order to hide their identity.

It is still unclear how the two men managed to get into the property which is usually guarded by officers from the Presidential security.

Investigations are ongoing.
