Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned popular Mugithi singer Samidoh to take care of his marital affairs or else he will be disciplined.
While insisting that the singer, who is also a police officer was letting his fans down, the second in command told a bowed Samidoh that he was an embarrassment to the country by failing to control his women.
Samidoh is married to Edday Muchoki and they have three children. He also has an on-and-off relationship with nominated senator Karen Nyamu. They have two children together but their relationship has been far from rosy.
During the festive season, Samido’s two women were involved in an embarrassing brawl at a concert in Dubai where the singer was performing. The altercation began when Nyamu forced herself to the stage and later attempted to sit on Samido’s lap.
“Wewe sasa Samidoh unajua tunakupenda lakini kuna mahali unatuangusha kidogo. Samidoh, u control hii watu yako… Hakuna ndovu hushindwa na pembe zake…” warned the DP.
Gachagua, who was speaking during the burial of Pauline Nyokabi, sister to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, warned that Samidoh would be punished if he did not put his house in order.
“Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don’t take your family affairs abroad. We don’t want foreigners to know so much about us,” he told a bowed Samidoh.
“We will discipline you. We will not allow you to go overseas or we will limit you to going alone,” said Gachagua amid laughter from mourners.
Nyamu has since apologised for the Dubai drama. She is currently defending herself before the UDA disciplinary committee.
