Kitengela: Woman and daughter visiting from village knocked dead outside son’s house

A mother and her daughter were run over by a speeding car just outside the house of her son whom they had come to visit in Kitengela, Kajiado county.

Abigail Nancy Magero, 63 and her daughter Joan Catherine Magero, 41 were knocked down outside Quickmart supermarket in Kitengela just after arriving from Kisumu county hoping to cross into the New Year together with their kin.

Joan had gone to receive her mother who had alighted from a matatu and they were crossing the road to her brother Willy Magero’s house when a black Toyota Prado registration number KCK 596 C driving from the Nairobi direction run over them.

They died on the spot just metres from Magero’s house on Saturday 7pm

The vehicle is still detained at Kitengela Police Station. The family is still coming to terms with the  demise.
