A mechanic based in Nairobi has found himself on the wrong side of the law after he was arrested for fondling a food vendor’s breasts and bottom without her permission. Boniface Oyoo Mireri is said to have committed the offence on February 8 within Industrial Area.

According to Mireri’s accuser, the mechanic had gone to her kiosk for food when he out of the blues told her to reduce her buttocks since they are too big. She told him off but he allegedly went ahead and touched her inappropriately, forcing her to raise an alarm and members of the public came to her aid before escorting her to report the matter to the police.

When he appeared before Makadara Principal Magistrate Eric Mutunga, Mireri claimed the vendor accused him after being incited, adding he is in the process of settling the matter out of court. The case will be mentioned on March 22.
