A trigger-happy National Intelligence Service (NIS) undercover agent was last night disarmed and arrested after picking up a fight with police officers who were on a routine patrol within the Embakasi area in Nairobi.

According to a report filed at the Embakasi Police Station on OB Number 02/02/03/2023, officers were carrying out an operation to shut down bars that were operating past their allowed operating hours when the incident happened.

David Mkanda an intelligence officer based in Nyahururu was drinking in one of the bars that was raided by the police. He apparently jumped on one officer and strangled him while reaching out for his Glock pistol.

He was quickly overpowered, disarmed and placed under arrest.
