President William Ruto has nominated 50 people for the roles of chief administrative secretaries and forwarded them to parliament for approval.
A good number of those who have been nominated are politicians allied to Kenya Kwanza who lost in last year’s general election and a few politicians who ditched Azimio La Umoja after Ruto’s win in the polls.
Among the notable nominees are Millicent Omanga (Ministry of Interior and National Administration), Denis Itumbi (Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy), and Evans Kidero (Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry).
Others are Wilson Sossion (Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage) and Margaret Wanjiru (Ministry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Development).
