My name is Nancy Bahati Mole. I live in Kahawa Wendani in Kiambu County. I am the second born in a family of two children, my mum being a widow from 1995 .

Am a 35 year old. I have never been married but I have always wished I could. I have studied Criminology and security studies and graduated in 2021 December at Mount Kenya University.

Life has not been easy with my condition that I developed in 2016. I have been in and out of different hospitals since 2018 . My first stomach scan I did it through a well wisher in 2018 that’s when I discovered I was suffering Uterine Fibroids Condition.

Getting and sustaining a job with my Condition has been difficult because of numerous side effects. Most people tend to see a pregnant woman but the truth is I have never been pregnant am only sick and wish I could get a permanent solution.

My Condition has drained up my family and especially my only sister who is married. My mum does church works voluntary she is at her late 50’s .

I have friends that I have put on WhatsApp to try help me raise the amount needed for the Myomectomy. It costs ksh 320,000….
Money I have not managed to raise and time is running.

I currently do freelancing or online writting to sustain myself which has not been easy due to its inconsistency. Paying my rent and bills has been a mountain currently battling with rent arrears luckless my landlord has given me wavers n adjustable payments mode.

Editor’s note

This is a personal story by Nancy Mole who is looking for financial assistance for surgery. Her NHIF CARD is active but can only pay 80,000 ksh for her Myomectomy surgery. You can support her through her number 0711611722.
