Raila Odinga calls off Kamukunji rally, citing intelligences reports pointing to armed goons attacks.

“Late last night, we received intelligence of a most heinous plan by Kenya Kwanza to ferry armed goons who would attack peaceful attendees of our rally in Kamkunji. These goons had express orders to shoot directly into the crowd while enjoying police protection,” announced the Azimio leader.

Police lob teargas at protesters who had lit tyres and bonfires along the Kitengela-Namanga highway as running battles continue into the afternoon.
