NCBA has opened its 89th branch at Kahawa Sukari in Kiambu County as part of its strategic expansion to expand its retail business and provide convenient financial services.

The new branch is the third branch NCBA has opened in Kiambu this year.

NCBA Group Director for Retail Banking Tirus Mwithiga says the branch expansion drive is part of the bank’s efforts to move its services closer to its customers to suit their needs.

Mwithiga intimated that, NCBA being the 3rd largest bank in Kenya, is among the fastest-growing financial institutions in the region and plays a key role in driving economic growth.

“We offer extensive products and services, carefully customized to address local requirements while drawing inspiration from cutting-edge global innovation,” he said.

Mwithiga added, “This latest branch will be key to supporting the local businesses in the area through offering personalized banking solutions.”

NCBA revealed that opening more branches across the country will better serve SMEs to spur economic growth, innovation, job creation while at the same time raising its revenues.

“We recognize that SME lending is one of the most economically important and one of the most profitable contributors to banking revenues. This new branch will provide this community with different banking solutions – credit to grow businesses, asset finance, corporate, business, and retail banking,” he added.

NCBA Group is targeting to open a total of 10 branches by the end of 2023 and operates more than 100 branches in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ivory Coast.

The Group says it serves more than 60 million customers making it the largest banking group in Africa by customer base while NCBA Bank Kenya is Kenya’s third largest bank by assets.
