Radio presenter Alex Mwakideu has announced his exit from MediaMax’s Milele FM after five years.
In a statement on Monday August 14, Mwakideu thanked his followers who listened to him while presenting the Milele breakfast show.
Mwakideu however did not reveal where he will be going next after leaving the MediaMax-owned radio station.
“It’s been 5 years ndani ya Milele FM. Nime enjoy. Let me say ahsante sana to you, the listener because without you, hakuna radio. You are the reason we do this thing called Radio. Thank you all. Page closed. Onto the next one! Guess tunaenda wapi next,” said Mwakideu.
Mwakideu began his media career as a news presenter for Mombasa-based radio station Baraka FM.
He then moved to Germany and worked for Duestche Welle (DW) for a period of six months. His contract was to be extended but Mwakideu declined and returned to Kenya.
The celebrated radio presenter then joined Satand Group’s Milele FM and worked from 2010 to 2018.
He then joined Milele FM alongside Langata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o.
Following Jalango’s exit, Mwakideu continued with the Milele breakfast show, hosting alongside Wilbroda.
Until his exit, Mwakideu was the Head of Radio at the MediaMax-owned franchise.
