Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where a woman was found brutally murdered in a lodging in Mukuru slums.
The 21-year-old woman was found lying in a pool of blood in a lodging at Ikuuni Club.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that on Wednesday, September 6, a man requested a room at the club and paid KSh1,000
Witnesses say the man then entered the room in the company of the woman.
But the following morning, a cleaner discovered the body of the woman, lying in a pool of blood.
Nairobi Regional Commander Adamson Bungei says that the woman had deep cuts in the neck.
The staff at Ikuuni Club are also under investigations, especially after they failed to record details of the man who booked the room as required.
