In a shocking turn of events, residents of Elgeyo Marakwet County are grappling with a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves throughout the region.

In the bizarre incident, a woman is said to have ruthlessly murdered three individuals, one of whom was her three-month-old baby.

The incident unfolded in the quiet Katilit area of Elgeyo Marakwet County and left the community in a state of disbelief and sorrow.

The dreadful incident transpired on Sunday night.

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed at this time, reportedly grabbed a panga (a machete-like weapon) and unleashed a frenzied attack on her unsuspecting victims.

The brutality of the assault sent shockwaves throughout the peaceful community, leaving everyone in a state of disbelief.

Amidst the chaos, two fortunate individuals managed to escape the onslaught, albeit with severe injuries. They were rushed to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret for immediate medical attention.

The motive behind this gruesome act remains unknown with investigators working round the clock to unravel the mystery.

It was not immediately clear whether the law enforcement in the area had apprehended the woman by the time of going to press.

Why would a mother turn on her own child and others? What drove her to commit such an unthinkable act? These questions loom large over Elgeyo Marakwet County as the police delve deeper into the investigation.
