Video director J Blessing has addressed the assault allegations made by his girlfriend, singer Avril, in a social media statement. He acknowledged the altercation that took place a year ago, clarifying that some of the photos shared by Avril were from that incident and not their recent disagreement.

J Blessing admitted to the physical altercation that occurred a year prior, stating that both parties were injured. He took full responsibility for his actions and apologized for any harm caused to Avril or anyone else. He confirmed that he took Avril to the hospital to treat the injuries sustained in that incident.

“I sincerely apologise for any harm I have caused Avril or any other person. I am not innocent but I would like to clarify a few things. About a year ago, we had a physical altercation where we were both hurt, and on that day, I immediately took her to the hospital Aga Khan. I take full responsibility for that moment of weakness. One of the pictures she posted was from that incident,” J Blessing said.

Regarding the recent altercation on Tuesday night, J Blessing clarified that it did not involve any physical violence. He asserted that he did not beat Avril and emphasized that he does not condone or support violence in any form.

J Blessing acknowledged his past mistakes and expressed his regret for the situation. He revealed that he and Avril have mutually agreed to part ways to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

“Last night there was a situation that led to an altercation, but it was not a beating as suggested. I want to assure everyone that I did not beat her. I am not an abuser and I do not support violence,” he wrote.

“I am a human being who has made mistakes in my life. Avril and I have agreed that it is best for both of us to stay away from each to prevent such incidents from happening again.”
