Residents of Mukuyu village, Kiharu Sub County in Murang’a County, were left in shock when a woman was accused of fatally stabbing her husband, unraveling a tragic tale of a suspected love triangle.
The unsettling incident occurred while the husband had left the house to go shopping at the market, leaving his wife and daughter at home. During his absence, another woman reportedly arrived, inquiring about the man’s whereabouts and identifying herself as his girlfriend. The revelation apparently enraged the suspect, prompting the visitor to flee for her safety.
Upon the husband’s return, a confrontation ensued as the wife questioned him about the unexpected visitor. Despite his denial of any knowledge about the woman, the situation escalated, and in the heat of the moment, the wife allegedly reached for a kitchen knife, fatally stabbing her husband.
Screams echoed through the neighborhood as the couple’s six-year-old daughter discovered her father lying in a pool of blood. Concerned neighbors rushed to the scene, only to find the man lifeless, and the wife had locked herself in the bedroom.
The villagers promptly reported the tragic incident to the Murang’a Police Station, leading to the arrest of the widow pending further investigations. The deceased’s body was transported to Murang’a Level 5 Hospital for a postmortem examination, as the community grapples with the aftermath of this shocking event.
