The driver of a bus implicated in a fatal crash that resulted in 15 casualties on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway this Tuesday to be arraigned in court today.
As per the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the driver is currently held at the Mau Summit Police Station, awaiting arraignment scheduled for Thursday.
The tragic incident unfolded at Twin Bridge, involving a Classic Kings of Congo bus and a North Ways 14-seater matatu. Among the victims were eight adults and seven children, while fortunately, 38 others emerged unharmed.
Preliminary investigations by the police point to lane indiscipline and dangerous overtaking as the primary causes of the accident.
