DCI detectives apprehended three individuals at Archers Post in Samburu County for the possession of marijuana.
In an official statement, the DCI reported that the trio was caught trafficking 196 kilograms of marijuana, with an estimated value of 5.9 million shillings.
According to the police, the illicit substance was discreetly hidden beneath sacks of beans in a trailer with registration number KCZ 198E.
The individuals have been identified as 20-year-old Harun Mohammed Galgalo, 22-year-old Ali Abdikadir Mohammed, and the 34-year-old driver Isaack Mohammed Bakacha.
The suspects were apprehended during a multi-agency operation that involved sniffer dogs uncovering the illegal substance.
The 66 bales of marijuana have been seized and preserved as evidence.
The trailer has also been towed to a police station for further investigations.
