Tragedy struck at Chemoe Junction in Baringo North Constituency as three family members lost their lives in a brutal attack by bandits.
According to local residents, the victims—a father, a mother, and their young child—were ambushed and fatally shot while en route to a pass-out ceremony in the area.
The father succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while efforts by locals to rescue the wife and child were in vain, as they later succumbed to their injuries.
Additionally, three more individuals sustained injuries during the attack and are currently receiving medical treatment at Baringo County Referral Hospital in Kabarnet.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the mortuary at Baringo County Referral Hospital.
In response to the tragic incident, Area MCA Michael Chebon condemned the killings, urging security personnel to act promptly and apprehend the culprits to restore peace in the region.
