Tragedy unfolded in Githurai 44 as a woman, identified as Grace Wangari Thuiya, succumbed to severe injuries sustained during a confrontation with her husband.
According to police reports, the 24-year-old lost her life at Kiambu Level Five Hospital, where she had been rushed for treatment.
Reports indicate that Wangari engaged in a physical altercation with her partner, identified as Clinton Mwangi, within the confines of their house.
Unfortunately, the altercation escalated, resulting in the woman being stabbed in the head.
Responding to distress calls from concerned neighbors, the police arrived and rushed Wangari to the nearby Imani Hospital before transferring her to the Kiambu level five facility.
Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Clinton Mwangi was also arrested and is currently in detention at Kasarani Police Station as investigators continue their investigations.
Wangari’s body was transferred to the Kiambu hospital mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
Wangari, a 24-year-old mother, sadly leaves behind a three-year-old child.
