Police in Nakuru County have initiated efforts to trace a woman suspected of fatally stabbing her lover during a domestic dispute on Tuesday night.

According to police reports, the suspect identified as Beth Muthoni is alleged to have killed her boyfriend, 27-year-old Peter Njenga Muruga in his house following a night of revelry.

The discovery of Muruga’s body was made after the landlord, Peter Mwangi, reported that one of his male tenants had been stabbed by a female tenant at the premises.

Police reports revealed that the deceased’s body was found lying on the sofa with visible stab wounds on the left arm bicep and eye.

“During the night, they spent time out while drinking in a neighboring club and engaged in an argument after returning to the house, which led to the suspect stabbing the deceased. Inside the house, there were signs of a fight.” read the report.

Muruga’s body was transferred to the Annex Hospital Funeral Home in Nakuru pending a postmortem examination, while the suspect, Beth Muthoni, remains at large.

Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
